Mentor Graphics Assists Local University CIS Program

Through a partnership with the University of South Alabama, Mentor Graphics® will make donations to help provide tools that will help the university further the education of their students. These donations will be in the form of hardware, software and funding. The donations indicated within this document apply to the academic year from August 2001 through May 2002.

The hardware and software donation is valued at approximately $73,000. The funding will encompass an additional $20,000 per year. This funding will be in the form of two grants for graduate assistantship programs. These graduate assistantships will monitor the donated hardware and software as well as assist instructors in demonstrations and project instruction throughout the curriculum. The donations for the academic year of 2001-2002 will total approximately $93,000.
