WORD PROCESSING ASSIGNMENT
Due Date: Wednesday March 3, 1999
This assignment is designed to allow you to demonstrate your skill with the Microsoft Word word
processing program.
You are to write about a significant event in your life. Your paper will be one (1) title page and
two (2) pages of text and will include the items listed below.
The following MUST be included in your paper:
- Title page with Title, Author, Instructor, Class, and Due Date
- Two (2) double spaced pages of text.
- CIS 150 left justified on a HEADER line and your name right justified on the same
HEADER line on all text pages.
- Page numbers CENTERED at the bottom of all text pages.
- A special single-spaced paragraph indented from both margins used within the text.
- Footnotes at the bottom of the page on which the reference is made. (Minimum of three (3)
in the paper)
- Special print enhancements that must appear in your paper are:
bold
small cap
underline
and ONE other print enhancement of your choosing
- Prepare in report format on 81/2 by 11 inch paper, highlighting and labeling all
components to be graded.
Be sure to read the grading policy in your syllabus.
Some ideas for extra credit include:
extra footnotes
extra features not covered in class
Organization, content, grammar, and spelling are important for the college
level student. Points will
be deducted if these criteria are not met.
