Textbook: Exploring Microsoft Office Professional 97 Vol 1 by Robert Grauer/Maryann Barber Publisher Prentice Hall
Materials Required: Data Disk (can be purchased in lab office) and #2 pencil for all exams.
Grading: The final course grade will be computed from the following components:
15% Assignments (Word Processing, Spreadsheet)
25% First Test (Windows 95, General computer concepts)
25% Second Test (Microsoft Word, Word Processing concepts)
35% Final Exam (Comprehensive)
Grading of Assignments: Assignments meeting the minimum requirements will receive a grade of 85. Extra effort will be rewarded up to a maximum of 100. An assignment is due at the beginning of class on the due date. Late assignments will be penalized 30%.
The grading scale will be: 90-100 A, 80-89.99 B, 70-79.99 C, 60-69.99 D, 0-59.99 F

Attendance: Full attendance is required. Any absence may cause a reduction in your grade. Cases of illness or emergencies which make it impossible for you to attend class must be reported to your instructor as soon as possible. You are responsible for all material. Provision for make-up tests will be at the discretion of the instructor. Any make-up test may be essay.
Division Cheating Policy: Unless otherwise stated by your instructor, all work submitted for grading must be your own work. This means that the work you submit for grading must be designed and implemented by one and only one person, and that person must be you. Any deviation from this policy will result in a failing grade for the course for all parties involved. This policy applies to programming assignments, examinations, quizzes, and homework assignments.
Students with disabilities who are registered with the office of Special Student Services should notify the instructor immediately. Accomodations will be arranged between the Office of Special Student Services and the course instructor.
